Job Description:
Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses menuju Sehat (IPAS) Indonesia, is a local foundation works as affiliation of Ipas global so that women and girls have improved sexual and reproductive health and rights through enhanced reproductive justice and access to care for women and girls in Indonesia.The Project Coordinator works with other staffs in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia to establish a model of climate resilience primary health care by: 1) improving access to and use of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services (Family Planning and SGBV Care) pre-during and post climate induced disasters, and 2) reducing vulnerability of women and girls to climate crises by improving local community climate adaptation strategy. This role includes, but is not limited to, leading the planning, implementation and monitoring of CERAH (Climate Emergency, Reproductive Rights and Health) Project Activities in 3 districts at Central Sulawesi Province. This position will lead the coordination with provincial government and district government - as well as relevant local technical offices and civil society, during inception phase, implementation phase and in the evaluation phase. This position is responsible for successful execution of interventions related to modelling of climate resilience primary health care (focusing on Family Planning and SGBV care) based on thorough assessment. S/he oversees the implementation of clinical and community engagement aspect of project implementation, monitor the progress, and draw lessons learned from piloting in the districts. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for representing the program and organization in advocacy work at district, provincial, and central level. This position report to the Health System Strengthening (HSS) Team Leader/Advisor and s/he will need to coordinate with other units and relevant staff in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia.Position is based in Palu, Sulawesi Tengah.Planning
  • Plan the detailed workplan to implement CERAH project at provincial level, in close collaboration with the Advisors and/or relevant Specialist in Yayasan IPAS Indonesia.
  • Develop and manage CERAH Project's annual workplan, including reviewing the workplans regularly to ensure tasks and milestones are being achieved in timely manner
Project Management
  • Lead the implementation of CERAH project workplan at provincial and district level
  • Take an active part in the project issue/risk management process by contributing to the identification and prioritization of existing and potential issues and risk and assist in developing strategies and control to mitigate these issues
  • Ensure timely and successful implementation of trainings and workshops within CERAH Project to strengthen the health system in provision of reproductive health services (Family Planning and SGBV Care) in primary health care setting and to mobilize community in reducing and adapting to climate change
  • Provide guidance and support to conduct community-level and district level activities related to community engagement and community mobilization/collective action in climate and gender justice
  • Provide effective coordination amongst local stakeholders at districts/sites
  • Ensure effective and timely communication, coordination and engagement with various units of Yayasan IPAS Indonesia,
  • Lead the management and oversight of subawards to local partners in consultation with relevant technical specialists
  • Prepare programmatic reports for timely submission to the donor in coordination with Project Officers, Finance Manager, Program Manager and Director
M&E
  • Support MEAL team to develop and design M&E Plan for the project
  • Support the documentation of learnings and recommendations related to modelling in building climate resilience primary health care in Central Sulawesi
  • Disseminate the project results and lesson learnt with stakeholders
  • Ensure all Yayasan IPAS' CERAH Project's related documents (programmatic and financial) are completely accurate and submitted on time to MEAL and Admin Finance. •
  • Prepare quarterly summary report as required.
Finance:
  • Support the HSS Advisor, Develop detailed budget and procurement plan for CERAH Project activities. This includes ensuring budget plan at provincial and district implementation comply with Yayasan Ipas Indonesia's regulation
  • Coordinate with the finance team to monitor Budget vs Actual (BvA) performance under her/his responsibility. This includes the performance of external consultant
  • Collaborate with the HSS Advisor on conducting regular monitoring of balance between program achievement and budget utilization
  • Support preparation of financial reports for timely submission to the donor in coordination with Project Officers, Finance Manager, Program Manager and Director
HR & Administration
  • Understand and comply with the HR regulation in Yayasan Ipas Indonesia
  • Supervise CERAH Project's team and consultant, as well as collaborate with other teams in Jakarta's office for a successful implementation of CERAH Project
  • Ensure all activities comply with the regulation in Yayasan Ipas Indonesia
  • Document program activities and other relevant documents and products in the designated portal (for instance in Luna and Terra)
OtherPerform other duties as assigned by the organization.Position Requirements
  • Masters in relevant field (preferably in the areas of Climate/gender/public health) with more than 8 years of working experience in this development project
  • Preferably has the experience leading/coordinating projects related to integration of climate change and gender equality
  • Proven experience in managing team
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • Deep knowledge of Climate and gender justice with orientation towards improving the space for health
  • Ability to influence, strengthen and nurture network and local governments and CSO partners
  • Fluent in English and Indonesian (speaking and writing)
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel when needed.
Knowledge & Skills
