PROJECT COORDINATOR (UNION) - MANUFACTURING MATTERS(Grant Funded) PTCity Colleges of Chicago's vision is to be recognized as the city's most accessible higher education engine of socioeconomic mobility and racial equity - empowering all Chicagoans to take part in building a stronger and more just city. The community college system's more than 3,500 faculty and staff serve more than 60,000 students annually at seven colleges and five satellite sites.In partnership with the Illinois DCEO, the Illinois Innovation Network, the University of Illinois and others, Daley College is helping to lead a project to develop and deliver a marketing campaign to attract potential students and career changers to manufacturing careers and training programs for those careers. Funding provided through an IGA with the University of Illinois.The project's overall goal of developing a regional pipeline of skilled talent in manufacturing and increased enrollment in Illinois includes two principal strategies: a statewide marketing campaign to increase attraction to manufacturing jobs and a grass-roots local/regional campaign across seven regions of the state.At Daley College, staff working in the Manufacturing Matters Marketing Project will focus on contracting with marketing firms and community-based sub-contractor to build and create a campaign to market manufacturing as a family-supporting lifelong multi-employment and advancement journey and to increase attraction to manufacturing jobs.PRIMARY OBJECTIVEReporting to the Executive Director, the Project Coordinator - Manufacturing Matters Marketing Project PT provides organizational and administrative support, coordinating with project partners, contracted marketing firms, and other stakeholders to help implement a marketing campaign that reaches a diverse audience to promote increased career interest in manufacturing and drive increased manufacturing training program enrollment.The Project Coordinator - Manufacturing Matters Marketing Project PT works within the project design to support the processing of all procurement, legal and CCC Board documents; works with community-based organizations and other internal and external resources to support the project's grass-roots local engagement campaign; and maintains project data and records to assist project evaluators in reviewing project's effectiveness and outcomes. Performs related duties as required.Position is required to travel to state-side project and marketing events as neededPositions is required to work some evenings and weekends as neededThis position is grant-funded and will be funded through June 30, 2025, with the possibility of renewal depending on program success.ESSENTIAL DUTIES● Supports the Executive Director and project partners in executing marketing campaign by organizing and implementing networking and marketing activities to meet the goals of creating awareness of manufacturing careers and increasing student diversity, enrollment in community college manufacturing training programs, and the rate of students completing programs.● Performs and coordinates various activities in support of delivering the project's grass-roots local/regional engagement marketing component.● Works with community-based organizations and other partners to create and execute engagement activities including outreach events, workshops, and related promotional activities.● Works with contracted marketing firms, sub-contractors, and local and regional partners to help ensure distribution of digital and print content through organizations' websites and social media channels (videos, digital advertisements, print materials).● Maintains records of project activities, student outcomes data, and key performance indicators using appropriate tracking tools and data management systems.● Prepares progress reports providing data and analysis relating to Manufacturing Matters Marketing project objectives, marketing campaign outcomes and other performance indicators.● Serves as a direct contact to other community colleges implementing project objectives and working to deliver KPI's in their regions.● Coordinates and works with college and district level admissions and recruitment staff participating in outreach events and providing support to promote advanced manufacturing and to recruit students from targeted populations.● Maintains working relationships with industry, academic, and community partners to cultivate and strengthen partnerships.● Travels to project and marketing events in the region and the state.● Work some evenings and weekends as needed.● Performs other duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS● A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Business of Public Administration, or a related field● Three years of work experience in a responsible administrative or program administrator role, preferably for a non-for-profit or higher education institution● A combination of education and experience may be taken into consideration based on the applicant's credentials, provided the minimum degree requirement is met● A valid State of Illinois driver's license● Strong collaborator who can work in a matrixed environment and team setting to accomplish goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment● Knowledge of project management practices● Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills● Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills● Must have consistent access to a reliable, personal vehicle that can be used to travel to state-wide projects and marketing events as needed● Must be able to work some evenings and weekends as needed● Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)We are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Thank you for your interest in CCC!TBDAdditional Information
