TYPE OF POSITION/EMPLOYMENT CATEGORY: Full-Time, Administrator *Grant-Funded for 1 year* DEPARTMENT: Health and WellnessSCHEDULE: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (9am to 5pm); Tuesday and Thursday (10am to 6pm)

REMOTE WORK ELIGILITY: Yes, occasional HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 48 weeks/year FLSA STATUS: Exempt, Salaried GENERAL PURPOSE Project Coordinator will provide administrative leadership and oversight for a comprehensive project funded by a SAMHSA grant. Grant and position conclude on 09-29-2025. Coordinator will help facilitate a public health approach to prevent campus suicide and strengthen infrastructure to promote wellness and encourage help-seeking student behavior; conduct outreach to vulnerable groups with substance abuse and mental health problems who are at greater risk for suicide and suicide attempts. Coordinator will assist in providing mental health treatment and case management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and provide direction for the strategic planning, development/implementation of a large and complex project with several components (including, budget, data reports, co-chairing committee, implementing trainings and programming).
  • Meet with students to secure information and to assess needs; provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention on social, cultural, behavioral, developmental, and othermatters for students experiencing mental or behavioral problems. Consult with families, faculty, staff, mental health professionals and medical personnel, as needed to facilitate the counseling process; refer students to outside resources as warranted.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree (Mental health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology)
  • Limited permit to practice counseling in New York State
  • 3 to 5 years of work related experience
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • SAMHSA Grant Reporting (Trainings will be provided through SAMHSA)
PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Fully licensed in New York State to practice clinical counselor
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
  • Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.

The hiring annual salary for this position is $64,000 to $69,615. This annual salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
