Salary : $54,000.00 - $64,000.00 Annually Location : Grambling Job Type: Full-Time Unclassified Job Number: 202200231 Division: Operations and Administration Department: Public Safety Opening Date: 08/06/2024 Closing Date: 11/30/2024 11:59 PM Central Job Summary The U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), has awarded Grambling State University a Grant to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking on Campus Program. The Project Director will be responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of program requirements, as well as support all grant-related activities. This is a 100% FTE 40 hours/week, grant funded position ending in 2026 with the possibility of a grant extension and position renewal. Position is subject to conditions and limitations set forth in Award Information, Project Information, Financial Information, and Award Conditions. This position may be hybrid based on supervisor's approval and university needs and daily duties. Reporting to the University's Assistant Chief of Police, OVW Project Director will be responsible for administering the OVW Grant to reduce sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking on campus. The position will serve as point of contact for the OVW Grant from the Department of Justice and manage implementation of grant programs and activities, grant reports and assessments, OVW correspondences, and budget management. Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Creating a coordinated community response team overseeing all planning and implementation activities;
  • Providing prevention programming, including bystander intervention and ongoing prevention activities to all students on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking;
  • Providing ongoing training to all campus law enforcement on how to effectively respond to these crimes;
  • Providing access to 24-hour confidential victim services and advocacy;
  • Conducting ongoing training to all personnel in the campus resolution process;
  • Reviewing process to ensure successful onboarding of this key staff role;
  • Attending the New Grantee Orientation session;
  • Scheduling calls with assigned Technical Assistance Point of Contact;
  • Scheduling calls with assigned OVW Grant Management Specialist;
  • Responding to a grantee-only email group for Campus Program Grantees;
  • Facilitating the completion of statutory and program requirements;
  • Coordinating and managing grant-related activities;
  • Establishing and strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance institutional responses to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking;
  • Coordinating comprehensive prevention education, including bystander intervention;
  • Coordinating ongoing, discipline specific trainings for campus police/law enforcement and all participants in the resolution process;
  • Documenting of grant-related activities, including completing of performance reports;
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in project management and facilitation skills
  • Grant experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • 1-3 years of experience working with domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault or stalking (DVDVSAS)
Preferred:
  • Master's degree preferred in education, psychology, social sciences, public health, social work, or a related field
  • Experience developing and leading educational programs for diverse populations on sensitive topics.
  • Strong knowledge of research and best practices as they relate to prevention and/or victim/survivor advocacy for domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking specifically in a college setting;
  • Grant management experience (including grant writing, reporting, and budgeting).
