Description Job Description: The Project Director will work with the Directors of Programs to support the organization's program effectiveness and ensure program alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. As primary responsibilities, they will monitor grant and program compliance and provide ongoing training and support to field supervisors and staff, ensuring the success of program and service delivery in accordance with CIS-SA policies and procedures. The Project Director may provide direct oversight to program and field staff. Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions (The following statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions that may be assigned or skills that may be required.) Management & Leadership
  • Provide continuous coaching, professional development, and performance management for Program Support Site Coordinators & staff.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure the effective flow of critical information, while clearly communicating supervisor expectations that align with program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Communicate site-based needs and feedback to necessary staff and departments.
  • Set forth best practices to provide field staff with the necessary guidance & tools for effective problem solving and decision making.
  • Develop support & performance plans for assigned field staff based on individualized staff and program needs.
  • Communicate site-based needs and feedback to Program Operations team to strengthen program design and implementation.
  • Evaluate and document performance issues as needed in conjunction with the agency's Progressive Discipline Process.
  • Support the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and placement of well-qualified field staff.
  • Gather staff input to enhance communication and promote an environment of continuous improvement.
Training & Support
  • Provide training in the on-boarding process for program and field new hires within the area of Local Operating Procedures and other effective tool practices.
  • Identify operational training needs based on feedback from Field Supervisors and field staff.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of program operational training for CIS-SA staff and school/district personnel.
  • Develop and implement Local Operating Procedures (LOP) and training to program staff to support their effectiveness of service delivery and management.
  • Train program and field staff in use of local data baseand how to utilize data to effectively communicate program success.
Project and Grant Management
  • Monitor contracts and agreements, maintain records, and prepare & submit reports.
  • Work with various agency departments and staff for clarity of processes, implementation and follow through of new initiatives (e.g., identifying timelines, action plans, and budgets).
  • Provide oversight for quality of programming (e.g., regular site visits, review of monthly reports, campus plans, coaching and file monitoring), including evaluating programs, developing best practices, and communicating updates, successes, and any pertinent information to all involved.
  • Provide oversight on the collection of the data elements to meet the needs of contractual requirements.
  • Oversee special projects & grants assigned, including development, implementation, monitoring/evaluating, and reporting according to program requirements.
Program Operations
  • Utilize and communicate data to assess and demonstrate program effectiveness.
  • Manage and oversee program budgets and ensure appropriate expenditures according to funding guidelines.?
  • Provide monitoring toward program goals and reviewing data reports, addressing red flags with Director of Programs, and creating a plan that includes action steps toward meeting goals.
  • Support program needs by coordinating and distributing best practices & resources that support the CIS program mission and model.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to implement & manage effective programs.
Administrative & Other Duties
  • Complete programmatic and departmental reports within deadlines.
  • Manage and approve timecards for direct reports.
  • Complete performance evaluation for all direct reports on a yearly basis.
  • Attend and engage in all meetings as required.?
  • Participate and engage in professional development and training opportunities to obtain or improve knowledge and skills.?
  • Provide cross-departmental support for the overall goals of the agency.?

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work generally are Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m. This position on occasion requires long hours and weekend work. Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.   • Minimum Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Public Administration, Education, or Human Services and 4 years' related work experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience in project/grant management
  • Minimum two years' experience in supervising others and effectively managing a team
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with ability to effectively understand needs, convey information and collaborate on solutions.
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Proficiency in the use of computers for: word processing, databases, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet
  • Experience with program delivery to at-risk populations and identifying barriers to success, developing practical solutions, creating action plans, providing supports, and advocating for resources.
  • Understanding and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives
  • Proven ability to set priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to articulate program goals in a public setting
  • Adaptable to diverse work environments, frequent changes and various leadership styles?
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback, information and data to inform decision making and strategies.
  • Knowledge of social service resources that can support social, emotional, and academic needs.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience with case management database
  • Experience working in a non-profit setting
  • Bilingual ability in Spanish and English
