Founded in 1945 as an independent, non-sectarian institution, RU prepares students to become socially conscious citizens who are leaders in their professions and communities.The Project Director of the initiative Navegando Hacia el Éxito (NHE) is responsible for the implementation, management, reporting, and close-out of the Department of Education's PPOHA grant. The Director will design, implement, supervise, and monitor program activities and outcomes in accordance with federal regulations and program objectives. The Director will also serve as fiscal manager for program budgets, including budget planning, expenditures, budget revisions, and financial and programmatic reporting in consultation with the Principal Investigator.Proper project management will include adherence to federal and institutional policies, open communication among constituents, evaluators, and the Department of Education, monitoring of progress toward objectives, and effective administration of the project.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Advanced degree in social science, higher education, or a related area (MA/MS required, doctoral degree preferred).Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in large scale program development, implementation, and management in higher education, including two years of supervisory experience.Advising experience and knowledge of the needs of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the characteristics and academic needs of target populations.At least two years' experience working with Hispanic and low-income students in higher education.Knowledge of program development, administration, evaluation, report writing, budget development, and monitoring, and grant writing.Excellent skills in time management, collaboration, organization, and written and oral communication.Minimum Qualifications:MA/MS in social science, higher education, or a related area.Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in large scale program development, implementation, and management in higher education, including two years of supervisory experience.Advising experience and knowledge of the needs of undergraduate and graduate students, with at least two years' experience working with Hispanic and low-income students in higher education.Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual is preferred.Working Conditions: Normal climate-controlled office environment.
