Job Summary The Project Director oversees one or more construction projects, leading each project construction team, and the overall management of project directions, planning, completion, and financial outcome. This person is responsible for successful construction and project delivery and overall client satisfaction. This individual will be a coach/leader and will build and manage high performance teams by attracting, engaging, developing and retaining highly talented team members. The position requires a strategic business leader with a growth mindset who is up to date on industry trends, local markets and construction project management techniques. This individual should also have strong communication skills. Responsibilities
  • Manage and/or coordinate personnel and resources for one or more construction projects
  • Assist with and/or lead pre-construction efforts
  • Manage all aspects of the project from inception through close-out with the project team
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of construction plans and project goals
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages, as well as oversee the procurement process
  • Oversee the shop drawing, submittal, and construction coordination process
  • Plan and coordinate the project in conjunction with the project teams
  • Oversee performance of project including project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems and all project reporting requirements
  • Maintain relationships with designers, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with specifications
  • Oversee the development and maintenance Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with project teams and consultants
  • Oversee all site safety programs in conjunction with a safety consultant and project teams
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
  • Engineering, Construction Management or related bachelor's degree, or possess equivalent years of related experience
  • 15+ years of experience with working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, and engineering drawings.
  • Thorough understanding of the industry and New York Metro market
  • 10-Hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Certificate
  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Certificate
Computer Systems:
  • Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Timberline
Salary Information
  • To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary offered for this role is $225,000 - $300,000.
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
