As the Plant Electrician on the Project Team , you will perform a large variety of electrical functions such as installation, maintenance and repair of equipment for the distribution and utilization of electrical energy in the industrial plant environment. High Voltage Experience is a must have!The successful candidate will be able to: Coordinate, participate, assist, construct, fabricate, install, repair and maintain transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems and electrical controls as required for plant operations. You will specify parts and materials for electrical projects ranging from maintenance of existing equipment to new production line installs. Locate, diagnose and repair troubles in electrical. Work with electrical hand and power tools, measuring and testing instruments. Assist maintenance mechanics in dismantling or partially dismantling machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble and make necessary repairs or adjustments as required to electrical components. Use and interpret electrical drawings. Troubleshoot breakdowns to determine cause of trouble.The successful candidate will possess some formal training in electrical distribution systems, experience working around voltages as high as 13,200 VAC, knowledge and use of LOTO, complete understanding of the NEC, and three or more years of experience working as an electrician. In this position you will be required to work under a licensed electrician, and begin the necessary steps to become a fully licensed electrician in the State.
