Job Description:
Overview Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering firm based in California. We are growing and looking for talented Project Engineers to join our Gas team. As a Project Engineer, you will provide support for natural gas utility pipeline projects, working closely with the Project Manager or Project Engineer as part of the project execution team. You will also be responsible for engineering, technical specifications review, quality control, and customer satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects. Responsibilities
  • Support the initial pre-planning, planning stages, engineering and design stages, construction support, execution stages, and closeout efforts.
  • Work with a Cordoba and Client PE team, PMs, subcontract engineers, and designers to manage the engineering and design utilities.
  • Support meetings with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and governing agencies.
  • Scheduling project meetings, follow up with meeting notes.
  • Perform utility research and verify existing conditions of utilities.
  • Support with review and mark-up of utility design plans using Bluebeam Studio.
  • Create bill of materials for utility design plans.
  • Coordinate with the project team, including Utility Managers and Technical Supervisors, Field Engineering Representatives, and other departments, subcontractors, and organizations to complete the assigned projects.
  • Support construction efforts as deemed necessary for project construction.
  • Understand project scope, project delivery, cost, and schedules.
  • Ensure that the assigned projects are completed safely, producing a quality product that is in accordance with governing codes, agencies, and client requirements as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Interface with the client and the project team to complete the assigned work within schedule and budget.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
  • Participate in special projects or tasks as required.
  • Report progress in achieving the required work scope to the client on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering or related field required
  • 1-3 years of experience in utility design and construction required
  • Engineer-in-Training highly preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Plant3D
  • Experience with ASME B31.1 and B31.3
  • Knowledge of SAP and Citrix
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Good problem-solving, decision-making, communication, analytical, and human relations skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Must be adaptable and flexible
  • A high level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic
Salary Range: $55,000 to $73,000 per year Work Location: Hybrid 4 days per week in the Los Angeles, Ontario, Chatsworth, Santa Ana, or San Diego office.
