08th November, 2024Job Title: Project Engineer - Government Construction Overview of the Company: Our client is a reputable general contracting company specializing in mid to large size commercial and government construction projects in the Chicago area. Their commitment to delivering high-quality results and ensuring project success is at the core of their operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to project managers in leading and managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Maintain high standards of quality control and coordinate project documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Assist in project estimating and administrative tasks as required.
- Help monitor and participate in the review and approval process of all field related change orders, RFI's and construction drawings.
- Properly complete and submit the Daily Production Reports to the client and home office regularly to conform with project requirements.
- Manage submittal process as well as maintain the logs & folders
- Contribute to safety and quality control measures for ongoing projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Field Engineer.
- Experience working with mid to large size commercial or government at-risk General Contractors in the Chicago area.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and project provisions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
