Aquatech immediately needs a full-time Project Engineer in our IWS Department to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. Job Description:
- Attend design review of the project.
- Create datasheet for Equipment, Valves, instruments, etc. based on Project scope and process/design requirements.
- Work on project-specific Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs). Update P&IDs from time to time in AutoCAD.
- Submit datasheets to customers for approval and assist in getting quotes from vendors.
- Review quotes received to ensure accuracy and work with the procurement department for order placement.
- Track shipment and all materials send to the fabricartor.
- Assist the Project Manager with providing information on budgeting.
- Make a project schedule and update it from time to time. Keep the Project Manager and customer updated on the schedule.
- Work closely with the fabricator from the home office to ensure project execution goes as planned.
- Visit the Fabricator shop from time to time to get issues resolved in a timely fashion and ensure project progress is as planned.
- Attend conference calls with the Project Manager and customer to discuss project progress, provide updates as needed, take notes, and circulate minutes of meetings.
- Keep track of document submittals to and from the customer. Circulate customer-commented documents to respective disciplines and resubmit to the customers once comments are addressed.
- Develop an Operation and Maintenance manual at the later phase of the project.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering
- Three (3) or more years of experience in Project Management / Engineering
Skills Required:
- Excellent computer skills (EXCEL,Word, etc)
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to travel on company business to visit and review progress at fabrication facilities.
- Ability to read Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude.
- Knowledge is AUTOCAD is a must.
