Project Engineer Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to manage projects from initial concept through successful completion. This role involves coordinating activities of cross-functional project teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed in accordance with customer specifications, within schedule and budget limitations. This permanent, full-time position will report to the Site Engineer and is fully onsite. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the site team from project conceptualization through completion.
- Develop success criteria based on performance, schedule, and budget.
- Direct resource management, including labor, materials, and time.
- Assess and select vendors; review bid documents.
- Actively manage project progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Prepare monthly progress and cost reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support customer needs.
The Skills you will bring to the team - B.S. in Engineering plus a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through projects to successful completion.
- Proficient in project management software, preferably MSProject.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
