- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or, a MS Degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding achieved through experience in the design, analysis, development and production of complex electromechanical hardware.
- Self-starting instincts and strong analytical skills, both required to fulfill the demands of design and development of new products.
- Experience with component design, development and verification testing.
- The ability to effectively communicate technical and programmatic information and to manage competing priorities of multiple stakeholders.
As a
Test Equipment Project Engineer in our
Military Aircraft Group in East Aurora you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military aircraft programs. Your primary responsibilities will be to lead a cross-functional team through our common development process to successful deploy test systems while maintaining budget and prescribed schedules. You will coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, designers, analysts, manufacturing engineers and others who assist in specific assignments. Facilitative leadership will also be required with program management, quality engineering, and operations. This role will keep you challenged by taking advantage of your knowledge, experience, and skills in technical coordination and communication.
As a Project Engineer, you will:
- Establish and monitor engineering project budgets and schedules.
- Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
- Prepare successful proposal designs, cost estimates, and shoulder the responsibility for writing the technical volume.
- Operate as a key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
- Coordinate and support the procurement and assembly of test equipment.
- Work closely with the internal program teams to provide the design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture and interface definition, and requirements validation.
- Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog's program scope.

Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$112,000.00 Annually
