Projects include the Staples Arena, Disney Concert Hall, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, The Getty Center, CBS Studios and Universal Studios, 49ers and Cal Berkeley Stadiums, multiple buildings for Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter and more. Potential to promote to Project Manager within five years.Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, with indirect supervision and daily instruction from an assigned Project Manager(s), the candidate is responsible for the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. This position helps to ensure effective communication and coordination between all disciplines and all other project team members, including external customers and vendors. In this role, you will work on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects as you continue to develop your skills in estimating, scheduling and design within the design-build construction process. Essential duties and responsibilities:- Assist the Project Manager with managing internal department relationships (such as accounting, purchasing, engineering, construction, fabrication shops, legal, and so on)- Collaborate with the Purchasing Department regarding scope, price, submittals and delivery of purchased items- Coordinate installation procedures among engineering, construction, and other stakeholders- Manage job progress onsite as required, including leveraging your design expertise in a hands-on capacity to solve emergent operational and installation challenges- Oversee and process daily administrative items (such as, document control, RFIs, dailies, POs, MOPs, submittals, procurement logs, and so on) per the Project Manager's direction- Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and on budget- Plan the work, track labor, track material and deliveries, project cost at completion- Escalate potential problems and assist the Project Manager in driving the solutions to their complete resolution- Maintain, develop and grow viable relationships with customers, prime contractors, trade partners, subcontractors, suppliers and trade personnel by attending job kick off, job progress, foreman, and OAC meetings- Interface with installers, suppliers and subcontractors to provide information, direction and detailed instructions- Managing subcontractors to meet our expectations of the projectOther tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor or upper management.Base salary, $120K - $130K overtime, bonus, and ESOP (company ownership)Amazing up-front and long term earning potential; company ownership opportunity for all employees; run your own book of business with the safety net of an established company; insane earning potential after 3-5 years and being promoted to Project Manager.
