Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Engineer with our client located in Versailles, OH. This is a direct hire, onsite W2 position.Job Description:The Project Engineer assists and supports engineering projects and activities to ensure business goals are accomplished within the approved time frame. Supports the Engineering Managers with assigned projects and activities including any of the following as assigned: budgets, resource coordination, tracking project deliverables, dates and monitoring deadlines. Additional responsibilities include updating manager on project status and risk factors and participating in process improvement and other efforts to drive best-in-class project delivery.Responsibilities: Assists in developing project plans which includes identifying goals and strategies, reviewing staffing and scheduling, identifying risks, and creating contingency plans.Uses project management and continuous improvement tools to develop mechanisms for monitoring overall project progress.Coordinates and maintains relationships with consultants, contractors, and third-party design houses.Coordinates with Engineering Managers to manage technical and project risk within the project including adequate risk mitigation efforts and effective issue escalation.Collaborates across functions and business segments and ensures project alignment with business objectives and strategy.Develops and manages project plans, project strategy, resources, WBS, detailed schedule, budget, risk register, and contingency plans.Ensures consistency and adherence to standards, processes and policies.Makes effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress the project.Coordinates a cross-functional team in the development of a risk-based schedule.Collaborates with teammates to identify, prioritize, and schedule critical project milestones and deliverables.Ensures timelines are reviewed with teammates and appropriate action items are taken and driven to closure.Prepares and presents project status reports, facilitates technical meetings and design reviews.Manages and documents scope changes from original specifications and the impact to timelines, resources, and/or project & product costs.Maintains a list of key decisions and their impact that are made during the life of the project.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2-5 years of experience in an engineering role or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. No certifications required, but certification from PMI is preferred.
