Project Engineer Manager
Job Description:
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage capital projects across their manufacturing, construction, and technology sectors. You will provide critical support for their growing operations by overseeing multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all defined objectives.
Responsibilities:
Act as the single point of accountability for managing multiple capital projects, from planning to execution
Evaluate operational needs and develop a strategic master plan for successful project completion
Foster strong communication between internal and external teams, starting in the design phase, to ensure clear understanding of project requirements
Create project budgets, scopes of work, schematics, schedules, and procurement documents for capital equipment and services
Collaborate with internal teams to draft contracts and purchase orders, incorporating PBV?s terms and conditions for vendors/contractors
Develop and lead FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) protocols for new equipment purchases
Supervise and coordinate on-site activities, including construction, equipment delivery, safety orientation, start-up, and commissioning
Maintain project safety and cleanliness by enforcing proper procedures and regulations
Monitor and report project progress while managing risks and opportunities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Support plant engineering initiatives to improve line efficiency, equipment reliability, and waste reduction
Provide engineering support for IT, Safety, and Quality Control departments
Contribute to PBV's sustainability goals by integrating capital project improvements
Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or eight (8) years of relevant work experience
Desired Background/Skills:
Strong understanding of capital project management, product cost accounting, and statistical process control
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
Willingness to travel up to 60% per year, both domestically and internationally
Valid driver?s license and ability to meet PBV driving qualifications
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of extensive project engineering experience
Three (3) years of supervisory experience, preferably with contractors or direct reports
Five (5) years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, ideally within food and beverage manufacturing
PMP certification and Six Sigma certification are preferred
