Project Engineer Mechanical
We are looking for a Project Engineer, Mechanical for our Westbury, NY facility. In this role you will coordinate all events related to assigned project(s). Ensure the timely completion of all deliverables in accordance with customer specifications and company targets. (i.e. profit, unit cost, product and process design, capital investment, quality and safety).
Your Responsibilities:
* Creation / collaboration of project studies / concept for customer orders including cost estimation
* Development of system-specific problem solutions
* Development of concept layouts for projects
* Converts the self-developed construction drafts into documents conforming to standards.
* Creates parts lists and other technical documents such as tables, diagrams, drawings and descriptions for operating, service and production instructions
* Further development of system components and standards
* Support in the creation of manuals
* Engineered Systems layouts for customer projects and sales offers
* General component design in support of Sales and Project Execution
* Responsible for compliance with the quality regulations and instructions in the area of responsibility
* Independent creation of concepts and system layouts
* General technical support work for the Sales/Project Execution teams
* Works with:
* Directly interfaces with Project Managers
* Directly Interfaces with Systems Sales
* Works in collaboration with Systems Engineering Wohlen
* Systems engineering, part of the Equipment business unit
* Is assigned to / reports to the Engineering team leader
Your Profile:
* Mechanical degree of BSME
* Several years of experience as a designer desirable
* User knowledge of mechanical CAD systems (2D / 3D) INVENTOR
* Skilled in PC use (office applications)
