The position can be based at either our South Hackensack, NJ or Chester, NJ office.Responsibilities:The Project Manager will be the central point of contact between the Municipalities and Boswell EngineeringAttend Municipal Governing Body meetings as requiredBe familiar with the Municipal Code of various municipalities for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating Municipal Development ApplicationsPrepare reports for Municipal Land Use Boards and attend Land Use Board meetings as requiredInteract with clients as well as various departments within the companyBe familiar with local, county, and state stormwater management and soil erosion control standardsAnalyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to perform necessary reviewsCoordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issuesReview project shop drawingsAttend project meetings with clientsPrepare monthly status reports of projects within the municipalitiesThe engineer will be expected to assist in the preparation of project proposals, establish project budgets and construction cost estimates, and prepare day-to-day paperwork necessary to see projects through from beginning to endComplete assignments on schedule and within the project budgetPerform marketing duties related to maintaining existing clients as well as obtaining new working clientsEnsure timely billing of projectsAssist with the collection of outstanding invoicesLimited travel is expected for this position to the municipalities and project job sitesAdhere to internal standards, policies, and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a four-year accredited college/university5 to 10 years of related experienceLicensed Professional Engineer in the State of New JerseyCertified Municipal Engineer in the State of New Jersey preferredWe recognize that the best way to provide services of the highest quality is by investing in our employees.
