As a Strategic Portfolio Project Engineering Lead at Mosaic, you will play a pivotal role in managing capital projects from inception to completion for Mosaics Florida Mining Operations. You will oversee project management and engineering services, ensuring efficient execution through Mosaics CPM system. Your responsibilities will include project scoping, engineering design, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, and construction management. Additionally, you will collaborate with Operations and support groups to achieve Mosaics strategic priorities, with a focus on geotechnical and mine expansion projects. This role involves field-related work to support our construction management, engineering, and project management teams.
What youll do:
- Ensure projects follow Mosaics CPM Road Map from engineering design through construction and commissioning.
- Liaise with stakeholders to meet objectives for EHS compliance, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Present weekly/monthly project status reports to leadership, covering progress, productivity, cost, and schedule.
- Collaborate with Procurement to develop scopes of work, prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate bids, and manage invoices.
- Lead project safety initiatives to support an injury-free workplace.
- Deliver projects safely with zero injuries expected in all phases.
What youll need:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical, civil and electrical engineering fields
- 10+ years of project management experience working on medium to large scale ($20M- $100M) capital projects in industrial plants
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Maximo
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects involving Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management phases of mechanical projects at industrial plants
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage strategic priorities by collaborating with multiple teams, both internal and external to execute projects
- Broad engineering and construction knowledge in all disciplines
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Experience delivering projects in an operating plant or brownfield environment
- Experience in case management, risk analysis and integration of safety in design, construction and future use of projects
