Job Description:

A Project Executive is responsible for business development, organization, work methods, scheduling coordination, cost control, conformity with drawings and specifications, quality/workmanship, and assignment of duties to accomplish economic and expeditious execution of the work. Will oversee multiple projects, project administration, and integrated/highly complex projects all while maintaining the Project Manager mindset to ensure accuracy and efficiency from all staff and company representations and ensuring the Client relationship is kept healthy.

Primary Responsibilities

Complete accountability and direction for entire project in accordance with design, budget and schedule

Plans, directs, oversees, and participates in the development of divisional work plans to include all construction projects and facilities services operations. Assigns work activities to staff and reviews projects and contracts for compliance and take appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies

Serves as primary contact to the internal and external community on capital planning and construction

Supervises and participates in the development and administration of facilities services and construction project budgets. Monitors and approves expenditures as necessary

Develops, plans, and participates in the implementation of divisional goals. Initiates and recommends actions to accomplish these objectives. Actively participates in strategic planning and goals setting activities pertaining to the assigned areas of responsibility

Serves as Companys Agent interfacing with and providing oversight to all third-party agencies, Vendors and/or Contractors

Provides Staff assistance to the Executive Leadership, confers and advises professional Staff regarding areas of responsibility and issues.

Prepares and presents various reports and other necessary correspondence

Supervises and participates in the development of RFQs, RFPs, bids, contracts and proposals for construction and facility operations

Serves as the primary representative for the Company with respect to agreements. Negotiates and administers contracts with outside agencies, vendors, architects, engineers, operators and others

Supervises property rentals, leases, and other property management responsibilities

Develops, implements and evaluates programs and strategies designed to create and maintain safe, functional, secure, clean and orderly facilities to ensure efficient and economical operation

Analyzes problems, trouble-shoots and identifies alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implements recommendations in support of accomplishing desired results

Selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel. Provides for or coordinates staff training and professional development; counsels with Employees to correct deficiencies in performance; implements disciplinary and termination procedures if necessary

Acts on behalf of Executive Leadership in his/her absences

Responsible for Business Plan preparations

Oversees all financial reporting of project(s)

Professional Requirements

Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering or minimum of 15 years of professional construction experience

o Preferred MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable

Minimum of 10 years Construction Management/Engineering experience with Mission Critical/Data Center or Heavy Industrial background

o Preferred PMP Certification

BIM awareness and thorough understanding of the industry required

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large cross-functional teams and/or managing people with the ability to assemble and manage productive construction teams in a large GC environment

Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, CSI building codes, and industry best practices

Experience with all types of Owner / Design / Contractor types of Agreements and has the knowledge necessary to appropriately navigate project related issues within the confines of each Agreement

Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program & individual project budgets

Intermediate to advanced Construction Management software use experience (i.e.: document control and schedule software, etc. such as ProCore and P6)

Technology proficiency intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Suite of Products)

Experience in developing Project Cost proposals and negotiating terms of an Agreement between the Company and Client

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel commitment & on-site presence. Regardless of the Candidates current location, the expectation is that the Candidate will be present to manage construction operations on the project site, as well as potentially up to 60% travel.
