We are currently seeking an experienced Project Management Assistant for one of our New York (Ithaca, Albany, Farmingdale) offices, to support a wide range of K-12 projects in New York State. Our offices in New York are comprised of over 75 professionals, working in a highly collaborative environment, focused on public buildings including K-12 schools, regional governmental facilities, and international projects for USAID and other federal agencies. Our overall team of professionals provide innovative architectural design, building systems engineering, interior design, site design, civil design and 3-D Imaging services to clients regionally and globally. Designers engage both proven and innovative building methods and technologies that provide real-world solutions resulting in more efficient and sustainable projects. Tetra Tech is dedicated to excellence in Project Management and supports that commitment through industry-leading Project Management tools and training, enhancing career development for the long-term.
The candidate may work remotely all or part of the time, though some field work which may require travel will be involved.
Your Role:
* Provide technical support to Project Managers
* Develop and maintain detailed project scheduling under the direction of the Project Manager
* Track project budgets and project scope under the direction of the Project Manager
* Assist Project Manager with managing internal project teams and deliverables
* Coordinate front end specifications
* Research project related topics
* Other project management duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
* 7-10 years of experience working in the design/construction field
* Experience in scheduling software such as MS Project
* Experience in K-12 educational facilities strongly preferred
* Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be organized, innovative, and enjoy collaborating with a team
* Requires successful evaluation of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and maintaining a safe driving record as defined by Tetra Tech's Vehicle Safety program
Anticipated Hiring Range: $80,000 - $85,000. Please note that this range reflects the pay scale that Tetra Tech INE reasonably expects to pay for the role. The pay scale will also depend on various factors, such as job duties and requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
