Our employees are not only part of history; they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in El Segundo, CA, with travel to Redondo Beach, CA site periodically.Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.Managing and maintaining the day-to-day interfaces and communications between IPT Leadership, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Global Supply Chain (GSC), Mission Assurance (MA), and Engineering.Lead and guide the scope and schedule various coordination meetings (i.e., OOS, Facilities integration, and Manpower Planning) primarily with Project Engineering and will often include program leadership, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering / Tooling, Global Supply Chain, Configuration Management, program integration, and technical staff.Development and implementation of necessary status tools (Health and Visibility Metrics) and business analytics to support IPT progress and achieving targeted cost and schedule requirements.Facilitating internal meetings in a way to support production schedule which may result from design, production, and problem resolutions.Creating/managing any applicable manufacturing risks and/or opportunities from the program risk register.Supporting and generating proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.Basic Qualifications Project Management (Level 2):Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 1 or more years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment; OR a Master's Degree with 0 or more years of project management experience and/or experience in a production or operations environment.Understanding of the Change Management environment with emphasis on Engineering (Design, Manufacturing, Industrial, Procurement).At least intermediate level experience with MS Office applications especially MS Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.Ability to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance with a periodic re-investigation.Ability to travel 10% of the time.Preferred Qualifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or similar.IPT schedule integration across multiple programs with experience in leading projects, people, and/or teams.Aerospace and/or Defense industry Experience.Experience supporting Structural Composites fabrication and assembly, detail fabrication, assembly, and installation tooling, assembly line process, paint, and coatings manufacturing processes.Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt.Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing/Assembly line setting.Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
