Expected Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000/yearSummary and ScopeThe Project Manager I facilitate projects from original concept through final implementation. The Project Manager I will work in collaboration with project stakeholders within the assigned business unit to define project scope, goals, and deliverables working towards business needs. Develops detailed work plans, resource plans, project estimates and status reports as needed based upon the size, scope and expected resource utilization of each project.Essential Functions
- Coordinates, plans, and evaluates projects using accepted project management methodologies.
- Coordinates project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners and contractors.
- Reviews and recommends proposals and bids to management.
- Monitors and manages project quality and cost to ensure that project deliverables are acceptable, fulfill the terms of the project contract or specifications, and are completed within budget.
- Identifies potential project risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
- Communicates project methodology and processes to interested groups and team members.
- Compiles and distributes project information, project status reports, and project budget expenditures.
- May initiate projects, obtain authorization and commitment, and demonstrate business need and project feasibility.
- May develop criteria for evaluating programs, proposals, and other pertinent information related to project assignments.
- May develop project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
- May assign duties and responsibilities and coordinate the work of project staff.
- Clear understanding of the Government Procurement process and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to interpret project requirements and ensure compliance.
- Conduct periodic reviews of subcontract processes to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
- Performs related work as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field, required
- 5+ years of experience as an advanced responsibility manager, or similar experience, required.
- 1-3 years of project experience, ideally in emergency logistics, base camp ops, field/deployment ops, required.
- OSHA 30 is required
- PMP (or other relevant PMI) certification is desired

Employee will be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft.Expected Hours of WorkThe ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office, and facility environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.TravelThis position requires up to 50% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours' notice.Work Authorization
