Develops/formulates Deployment issues, problems and needs in at least one technical area. Has acknowledged expertise at conceptual level of technical skills and knowledge in at least one program area. Has basic understanding of State energy/environmental economic development issues Creativity in Project & Program Development - Has developed and managed projects with little specific direction. Develops new projects and co-funding sources with own initiative. Carried out development of several projects through competitive solicitation phase that may or may not result from own initiative. Has provided ideas and rationale for program development in at least one technical area. Organization Skills & Productivity - Has demonstrated ability to implement projects in a timely manner. Demonstrates the capability to manage all aspects of on going projects with no supervision. Is able to prioritize workload with other responsibilities. Effectively discharges general technical and project management assignments in a timely manner. Demonstrates strategic thinking connected to the organization's goals. Leadership / Interpersonal Relations /Judgement - Has demonstrated ability to effectively head working groups or program teams. Primary Responsibilities, and Minimum and Preferred Qualifications What skills are needed to be successful in this role - At least 5 years' experience in training event support, including technical assistance during training sessions, encompassing management of org-wide communications and data gathering and analysis; - Experience with coordination of technical process/systems for training, event coordination, and tech support (particularly Webex Webinar); -Strengths in drafting of organization-wide communication that relay information about events, initiatives, resources, and learning and development opportunities - Qualitative and quantitative data gathering experience; Ability to synthesize information into concise reporting- Analytical skills necessary for the development of mandated annual reporting; - Adept at cross-team collaboration and joint communication between NYSERDA teams and Resource Groups - Organized, task-oriented, mindful of important timelines and due dates; - Ability to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of information shared as part of their tasks; - Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision; Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful? - Ability to coordinate multiple calendars to schedule group meetings and communicate as necessary with said groups; - Technical skills to set up and run virtual training opportunities including launching, operating, and troubleshooting live events; - Must have the ability to keep information shared to them in strictest confidence - Advanced Skills: Excel (pivot tables and other data merging) Are there any skills or tasks that the resource needs at start of engagement? Experience drafting internal communications for a range of audiences and stakeholders; and Familiarity with virtual meeting and webinar tools like Zoom, MS Teams, and WebEx. Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Public Administration, or similar major; Any certifications in Statistics, Data Analysis is a plus IT systems that will be used Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Forms, Teams, SharePoint) Asana Microsoft Project WebEx Lytho (InMotion) Tasks - Serve as an administrative adjunct to the DEI Team, coordinating closely with DEI Team Members to complete tasks necessary to the advancement of Team mission and business goals; - Assist the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisor with background technical tasks pertinent to host successful training sessions, coordinate the registration and communication of training events and resources; - Assist the Senior Project Manager with data collection, and synthesis for DEI indicators, and reporting of confidential and other pertinent information to complete mandatory reporting for NYSERDA; - Coordinate with other NYSERDA Teams and Resource Groups for meetings and cross-collaborative functions; - Draft communications across the Authority, as needed, to inform team members and further DEI initiatives
