Overview Project Manager - Aftermarket Team - Rancho Santa Margarita, CA The Aftermarket Project Manager (APM) is responsible for planning and coordinating administrative efforts of their assigned Aftermarket (AFM) work under the guidance of the AFM manager and Director of Project Management. They are the Primary point of contact for project status and detail of work. Main Responsibilities
- o Communicate with customer agents, and stakeholders contact on all assigned projects. o Coordinate, drive order execution through stakeholder management of Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Production, Shipping and Finance towards achieving on-time delivery, contract compliance and targeted profitability. o Overall project performance throughout project life cycle: order receipt through warranty; specific focus on contract performance, technical compliance, and customer satisfaction; drive project execution per planned schedule, holding project team and customer accountable for project performance o Create and monitor forecasts for financial, schedule, and scope management o Monitor, communicate and manager fulfilment of project contracts. o Ensure timely invoicing at project milestones and assist when needed with resolving payment delays through customer outreach and engagement. o Coordinate, manage project team documentation submittals and disposition process towards securing required customer approvals. o Manage and communicate project revenues, cost, and gross margin forecasts, as well as identify and proactively manage risks throughout project life cycle. o Review and complete project analysis monthly with high accuracy o Work with the master schedule to meet external and internal goals o Analyze and approve make or buy requests o Monitor daily releasing and invoicing of shipments o Plan and implement AFM schedules alongside various depts. o Represent AFM in project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the project requests o Confirm with the Accounting Dept that deposits are received from client, prior to releasing order for shipment. o Coordinate returns with clients o Monitor manufacturing quality and adherence to production schedule, advise client of status o Prepare and distribute daily and weekly project status reports o Attend, prepare and report at weekly production meetings o Review up-to-date cost reports with internal departments to analyze, determine solutions and correct any gross margins that are not within budget o Remain cost conscious and aware of every aspect of each project at all time o Effectively written and oral communication with clients and project representatives o Work with Sales to make sure booking lead-times are met o Control and report on-time delivery for external and internal projects o Resolve any challenges in projects or deliverables that are impeding success to meet target dates o Coordinate changes and gather information from various resources to enable correct information flow o Exercise sounds judgment in planning, organizing, and managing projects o Contribute to the continuous improvement of our overall project management discipline o Assist the Project Management Team with training and development of new process improvements and advancements in project management training programs

What We Are Looking For
- o Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSME or BSMET), or similar engineering or technical degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. o Project Management Professional (PMP®) desired, not required. o Two to three years' work experience in the valve and/or process control industry, or in a related engineering and manufacturing industry required. o Familiarity with nuclear industry protocols, practices, and expectations through hands-on experience. o Experience in managing a multi-disciplined project team: engineering, quality control, procurement, manufacturing, cost estimating, delivery/billing, and configuration management. o Must be proficient in Microsoft Software Suite, excel and PowerPoint proficient, & Salesforce knowledge a plus. o Oral Communication-the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations o Must have excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills. o Planning/Organizing-the individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently o Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance o Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs o Ability to read and interpret contract documents and engineering drawings o General knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, practices. o General knowledge of NDE operations, techniques, and practices. o Proficient in customer relations management (CRM) type software, such as Salesforce®, or equivalent. o Relevant experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system o Results and detail oriented, ambitious, and self-assertive o Works well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
