With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:As a Project Manager Assistant, you will assist the project manager to ensure projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by assisting in the development and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project timelines. Your responsibilities will span all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, demolition and decommissioning of abandoned assets, and handover to client. Organization and effective communication are keys to success.Role accountabilities:
- Providing leadership to on-site construction teams overseeing daily construction work.
- Leading and foster a safe working environment.
- Motivating teams and celebrating successes.
- Leading tendering processes, including development of RFPs, bid review and clarification, and development and execution of design, procurement, and construction contracts.
- Ensuring contractors schedule, conduct, and document all construction meetings including construction progress meetings, safety meetings, and inspections including distributing minutes of the meetings.
- Reviewing submittals for conformance with contract documents.
- Coordinating RFIs as required.
- Develop permitting strategy and track permitting requirements through project completion.
- Coordinating design reviews and approvals between owner and contractors.
- Managing work to follow regulatory and industry requirements, including multiple permitting jurisdictions.
- Reviewing general contractor scope for completeness and developing buyout strategies.
- Validating all (interim) payment requests from the General Contractor and all owner subcontractors.
- Reviewing contractors' site-specific health and safety plan and verifying all safety programs align to and are consistent with Arcadis and the owner's health and safety requirements.
- Taking an active role in partnership with the construction manager to ensure control of work adherence.
- Monitoring contractor adherence to safety standards and approved plans.
- Maintaining accurate project files, meetings records and correspondence.
- Verifying contractors provide all applicable certificates of insurance prior to any work being performed.
- Overseeing project commissioning and handover process.
- Working collaboratively to move tenants into the new workspace.
- Providing weekly and monthly client reporting packages to senior and executive leaders within the client and Arcadis organizations.
- Driving financial success of projects and programs across North America.
- Leading by example and providing mentorship to young career professionals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of program management experience.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
