Work Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Duration: 3-month contract (with possible extension)
Job Overview:
- The Program Manager would manage and oversee build to print program for manufacturing Navigation equipment.
- The candidate is responsible for the cost, schedule performance, and risk management for assigned programs.
- Coordinates with client's internal organizations, to communicate requirements and execute the program with technical accuracy, consistency and as well as managing the communications and relations with various stakeholders and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the relationship for the program:
- Lead interactions for the project/program.
- Inform the stakeholders regularly and with full transparency of the programs progress.
- Prepare and realize reviews with the project stakeholders, in particular, acceptance reviews.
- Manage and implement change requests.
Guarantee the delivery of the solution within the deadlines:
- By respecting the project baseline and goals while meeting the requirements and expectations of the project charter.
- By respecting the cost objective (assigned costs), while trying constantly to reduce the costs, managing the risks with caution, and taking advantage of internal and external opportunities.
Set up and manage the baseline of the program:
- Drive the project to ensure stakeholder satisfaction by meeting deadlines, quality specifications, and project profitability.
- Regular and reliable updates of the Estimated Cost at Completion.
- Deliver solutions that are cost-effective, easy to operate, and generate value.
Manage risks and opportunities:
- Actively manage project risks and related action plans.
- Identify, quantify, attribute responsibilities, and manage the risks.
- Take the necessary measures to cover risks and contingencies.
- Focus on precise planning, forecasting, continuous risk and contingency management, change management, and timely escalation.
Manage the program team:
- Make the necessary measures to actively mitigate all project risks and contingencies.
- Ensure all team members share relevant, coherent, and latest information.
- Manage and own all financial aspects of the project including cost, revenue, cash, and profit.
Minimum Requirements:
- Special requirements: US - Access to Trade Controlled Hardware, Software, Technical Information
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience. 3+ years of experience in program management in the field of aerospace/avionics or a similar technical field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Can manage scope and requirements autonomously.
- Experience with ERP tools – SAP.
- Experience performing risk management activities.
- Experience planning for the various stages of transformational and transitional change, recognizing how people react to it and how it affects the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project management with the US DoD.
- Working knowledge of aircraft systems and/or, ground-based navigation systems.
- An engineering degree is an asset.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- High energy, team-oriented, data-driven, and results-focused.
- Ability to stay cool under pressure.
- Can delegate tasks with a high level of integrity.
- Experience in management tools: Confluence or equivalent, JIRA or equivalent.
