Job Description:

Great opportunity for a Project Manager to work for a US building products leader in a remote role with site-to-site travel.

Our client is cement material manufacturer looking for a Project Manager to lead site projects ranging from 2 mil equipment installs up to 250 mil greenfield site builds at multiple locations throughout the US from initiation through finalization.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Project Management principles and the Capital Project Management SOP to enable successful execution and delivery of the project to ultimately meet customer requirements and deliver the business benefits.
  • Actively monitor and control all aspects of project to deliver best for Company outcome.
  • Continuously look to improve project performance/results.
  • Liaise regularly with the Project Sponsor to ensure the business and project requirements are being met.
  • Actively promote safe work practices and the adherence to relevant OH&S management systems, processes, and behaviors continuously.
  • Appropriately manage scope to ensure delivery of customer requirements and business case; actively watch for scope creep and/or descoping decisions that devalue project benefits.
  • Actively monitor and update project schedule to reflect actual progress and be aware of current or emerging schedule issues, taking corrective actions and monitoring outcomes.
  • Actively monitor project costs and maintain standard cost management tools. Be aware of current/emerging cost issues, taking corrective actions and monitoring outcomes.
  • Actively monitors and manages risk throughout the project.
  • Actively documents lessons learnt and feeds back into broader organization.
  • Travel – 50%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or requisite experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in a comparable role
  • PMP certified or have the ability to be certified within 6 months of hire.
