Position Summary
The Project Manager is a professional candidate who is the lead for our Site Civil Engineering Group in the Woodbury, Long Island (Nassau County), NY office. Responsibilities will include overseeing the technical operation, managing projects, helping to build strong customer relationships and maximize the companys operating performance. This is an incredible opportunity for a leader who will be responsible for growth of our transportation and infrastructure practice in our Woodburywith a primary focus on the New York City and surrounding market and agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDDC, NYCDOT, PANY/NJ, Counties, etc. Candidate shall also have a good understanding of public and private sector work including regulations, guidelines and approvals required for the regulating authorities.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage and develop transportation design projects including roadway, highway, site facilities, drainage, and stormwater projects.
- Manage collaboration of the design team and interdisciplinary team projects.
- Provide technical leadership and project management for projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client coordination, permit coordination, to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Set performance and financial goals for the team and attain them through team direction and management.
- Assess, evaluate, and report on overall team and individual team member performance.
- Research and identify new business opportunities in the private and public sectors.
- Collaborate with executives and VPs to decide on business strategies.
- Development of technical proposals and pursuits, including marketing strategies to capture new clientele.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local, regional, and federal regulations.
- Build talent within the team by creating a culture of ownership and accountability focused on delivering results, meritocracy, and transparency.
- Attend various seminars and meetings as well as networking with in-house divisions to cultivate new business.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or masters degree in civil engineering
- Licenses required: Professional Engineer Licensure in NY
- 10-12 Years experience in the industry with a focus on New York City and surrounds Infrastructure and Transportation projects
- Strong experience in project management, scheduling, and budgeting
- Understanding of business functions such as Business Development, Project Management, Engineering Design, Quality Control, etc.
- Familiarity and understanding of NYC and surrounding regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills

*The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, and geographic location.
