We are looking for a hardworking and dependable individual to become a member of our team as a Project Manager. The Project Manager in the completion of all assigned projects throughout the award, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, punch list and closeout to ensure the project is completed on time and on budget. Responsible for compliance to Artisan Stoneworks' quality, process and procedure policies. Responsible for the overall management of assigned projects throughout the award, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, punch list and closeout to ensure the project is completed on time and on budget. The Project Manager is responsible for the effective management of project staff, suppliers, fabricators, labor and for resource planning throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project schedules. Monitor progress to assure on time or better material, fabrication and labor performance.
- Assess resource requirements for assigned projects and coordinate these requirements with in-house staff, vendors, suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Attend meetings at customer locations, jobsites and supplier facilities.
- Track proposal costs to actual costs. Ensure project is on or below budgeted costs. Regularly report to Owner's on financial performance of individual projects. Prepare close-out reports at project completion.
- Negotiate and manage purchases with suppliers, vendors, and sub-contractors. Prepare purchase orders.
- Document, negotiate and resolve change orders, extra work orders, and claims. Maintain change order log.
- Coordinate and supervise the preparation of shop drawings, field measurements and cut tickets.
- Check same for compliance to project plans and specifications.
- Assist accounting department in preparing requisitions.
- Ensure Artisan Stoneworks quality standards are applied and adhered to.
- Follow company policies, procedures and processes; adhere to company values and principles.
- Maintain commitments to clients, co-workers and team members.
- Special projects and other duties may be assigned.
Competencies: - The Project Manager must be an excellent verbal and written communicator; able to establish and maintain effective communications with the customer, in-house team and outside vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Must work well in a group environment by giving and welcoming feedback.
- Must be able to effectively coordinate the efforts of team members and co-workers by supplying necessary and timely information and ensuring that it is used correctly and to attain project goals.
- Must be able to anticipate and resolve problems, bottlenecks, conflicts.
- Must be detail oriented able to track and organize information and communications to ensure that project issues are dealt with promptly and properly.
- Project Managers must be organized and prompt in dealing with and reporting to customers, internal departments, fabricators and suppliers.
Skills and Qualifications: - Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, written specifications, RFI's,
- Procedure manuals, etc.
- Ability to write submittals, transmittals and general business correspondence.
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in front of customers and co-workers.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Able to travel to customer's job sites, suppliers and fabricators. Some out-of-state and overseas travel may be required.
- Ability to apply mathematical skills such as square footage, cubic footage, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to perform basic metric conversions.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
