Position Summary:
The role is responsible for overseeing and managing the Traffic Control Department across multiple projects, with a strong focus on construction elements such as blueprints, redlines, utilities, and inspections. The position ensures that all teams adhere to corporate safety policies, emphasizing the importance of detailed planning, project oversight, and site-specific inspections. Key duties include managing staff, ensuring effective project staffing, and maintaining open communication with associates, customers, and agencies to optimize project costs and schedules. The Project Manager also ensures that all Traffic Control personnel are well-informed on policies, procedures, and job assignments, coordinating closely with other team members on project specifics, including manpower, materials, equipment, and timelines. Regular site visits and audits are conducted to ensure compliance and project quality.
Salary Range: Salary Range: $65k - $75k and up to a 5% Bonus
Essential Functions and Duties:
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all projects are executed safely and meet the contractual scope, with strict adherence to blueprints, specifications, and cost-effective methods.
* Staff Coordination: Coordinate external labor needs and manage project teams as directed by the Traffic Control Manager.
* Scheduling and Reporting: Develop employee schedules, oversee personnel on projects, and ensure timely recording and reporting of project hours.
* Project Delivery: Ensure on-time project completion or report any deviations from the plan to the Department Manager.
* Operations Management: Oversee branch operations, including equipment needs and compliance with all DOT regulations.
* Hiring and Staffing Decisions: Participate in decision-making processes regarding hiring, termination, and employee advancement, providing recommendations that impact employee status.
* Training and Mentorship: Assist with training new hires and mentoring project personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Resource Management: Equip teams with the necessary resources to execute project scopes efficiently.
* Communication Management: Manage project communications, including reports and directives, ensuring clear and effective information flow.
* Customer Relations: Maintain direct contact with customers, providing solutions to project challenges and resolving any issues.
* Documentation and Forecasting: Regularly document project status, prepare close-out reports, and provide accurate forecasts of revenue, margins, costs, and completion milestones.
