Reports to: Dean of Academics

Salary: $50,000-$55,000/year.

Summary:

Mountwest is seeking a project leader for creating a filming studio space for virtual broadcasting, which will feature the Mountwest Culinary Arts program and local culinary, hospitality, and tourism partners in the community. The program will broadcast to local high schools to promote career exploration and student success in the culinary, hospitality, and tourism industry.

This is a two (2) year temporary position expected to last for the duration of the grant.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

* Lead the project by serving as the key contact person for the filming studio and Culinary Collaborative Grant

* Lead, plan, and coordinate the Culinary Collaborative project at Mountwest with the goals of increasing awareness of Mountwest Community & Technical College

* Increase awareness of the Culinary, Hospitality, and Tourism industries

* Increase career exploration and college readiness of high school students for post-secondary education

* Coordinate providing chef educator food-lab demonstrations in video recorded format for high school ProStart students and in live-stream format allowing students to engage and ask questions/seek directions.

* Build community partnerships with the local restaurant, hospitality, and tourism industry in order to build content for the project

* Plan and execute the creation of the filming kitchen, including working with contractual entities for installation

* Select supplies and equipment for the studio, including equipment to build the studio

* Build relationships with Prostart and local high schools to deliver content, recruit, and feature students as part of the project

* Coordinate, plan, and monitor the filming schedule

* Explore building a financially sustainable model for the project

* Report on progress towards goals on a regular basis

* Make presentations regarding the project to large groups

* Manage the budget for the project in collaboration with the Dean and Director of Grants

* Film and edit project content, and deliver content over the air to constituents

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience coordinating projects, preferably in a filming studio setting, is required. The preferred candidate will have experience establishing and maintaining multiple partnerships. Experience with culinary, hospitality, or tourism industries is preferred. Experience and knowledge of filming equipment, video recording, editing, and delivery of media is preferred, but not required.

Licensure/Certification Required: Valid driver's license for travel.

Physical/Work Demands: No major sources of discomfort, standard work environment. Job is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds.
