Job Description Project Manager-EPC/General Contractor - Part timeLocation: Baltimore, MD CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking a talented Project Manager-EPC/General Contractor for a part time position on our team of Professionals in the Baltimore, MD area. Previous experience with federal govenment construction projects is required.CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.The Project Manager-EPC/General Contractor will oversee all aspects of federal government projects from initial planning stages through project close out. The Project Manager works closely with senior management and the Client to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The PM is experienced managing projects for federal agencies and related contracting organizations adhering to federal regulations, client directives, and company processes.Duties & Responsibilities: Effectively utilizes strong understanding of client's mission, policies, technical procedures, and project delivery business processes to plan and define program goals and devise methods to achieve them.Work with department managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and construction services plans for various elements of the project.Review design documents for conformance to company standards and compliance within scope of workGenerate and distribute reports on all project phases and financial performance.Lead project meetings including pre-award, pre-construction, project progress and final close-out.Develop, enhance, and maintain effective client relations.In coordination with Site Superintendent, develop and maintain site logistics plans and personnel assignments.Will oversee the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems.Perform field inspections to verify quality and accuracy of construction as needed.Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections.Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.Other duties as assigned.*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field strongly preferred. Previous related work experience may substitute.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.Five to ten (5-10) years of experience managing medium to large sized federal projects.Previous project experience should include working with blueprints, specifications, and proposals to successfully coordinate time/cost/labor estimates.Must be capable of managing multi-discipline teams of engineers, technicians, and other assigned project personnel.Proficiency with MS Office and other Microsoft Office products.Ability to delegate work appropriately.Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.Travel:Up to 30% travel to various job sites.Other Requirements:You must be a US Citizen.You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.Valid driver's license required.Benefits & Compensation:We offer paid sick leave in accordance with The Maryland Healthy Working Families Act and 401k with company contribution.Hourly pay range: $48.00-$57.00/hour based on experience, plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.To learn more, visit our website: www.clp-engineering.comWe are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/Disabled/Veterans.
