This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in FISP compliance and certification as a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI). The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of facade inspection and maintenance regulations, as well as proven leadership abilities to guide a team of professionals.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Management:Provide strategic direction and leadership to the FISP team, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the department.Manage and mentor a team of inspectors, engineers, and administrative staff.FISP Compliance:Oversee the execution of FISP inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Local Law 11 requirements.Coordinate with QEWIs and external vendors to conduct inspections, assessments, and reports.Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated on all relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards related to facade inspections and maintenance.Ensure that all projects and assessments adhere to local, state, and federal laws.Budgeting and Resource Management:Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.Procure necessary equipment, software, and services for the FISP department.Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.Report Generation and Documentation:Oversee the preparation and submission of comprehensive FISP reports, including recommendations for remedial work.Maintain accurate records of inspections, assessments, and compliance documentation.Training and Development:Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of the FISP team.Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.Job RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in facade inspection and safety compliance.Certified as a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI).Proven leadership experience, including team management and mentorship.Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in relevant software and technology for inspection and reporting.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
