Description
The Project Manager - Govt / Commercial - NoVA / DC Metro will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Estimate project costs and manage subcontracted work as well as self-performed work activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives align with client expectations.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement project schedules and plans, managing resources effectively.
Profile
The Project Manager - Govt / Commercial - NoVA / DC Metro will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 12+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with a commercial and/or industrial general contractor.
- Demonstrated experience estimating and managing both subcontracted and self-performed work.
- Knowledge of construction methods associated with commercial and institutional buildings, including site work.
- Proficient in construction-related software, spreadsheets, and email communication.
- Preferred experience in government contracting (1-3 years).
- Current safety credentials: OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR.
- Current CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC.
- Professional credentials such as Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or PE in good standing are highly desirable.
