Project Manager - High Speed Scanning and Digital Transformation

The Project Manager/Technical SME for a large-scale high-speed scanning and digital transformation effort will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive paperdigitization effort for our federal client. This role involves working with various stakeholders to ensure the successful conversion of physical documents into digital formats, optimizing scanning workflows, ensuring data security and compliance, and supporting the organization's digital transformation goals. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in scanning technology, document management systems, data integrity, and large-scale project execution.

Compensation & Benefits:

* Estimated Starting Salary Range for Project Manager - High Speed Scanning and Digital Transformation: $170,000 -$220,000 annually

* Pay commensurate with experience.

Project Manager - High Speed Scanning and Digital Transformation Responsibilities Include:

* Strategy Execution: Lead the execution of a large-scale paper scanning and digitization strategy that aligns with the organization's digital transformation objectives.

* Technical Oversight: Serve as the technical expert on paper scanning technology, including high-speed scanners, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), image quality control, and document management systems.

* Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and service providers for scanning hardware, software solutions, and support services.

* Project Management: Oversee large-scale scanning projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.

* Process Optimization: Develop and implement streamlined, cost-effective, and scalable scanning processes, ensuring quality control and data accuracy.

* Compliance & Security: Ensure that all scanning and digital document storage processes meet regulatory and security requirements, particularly for industries requiring high data integrity (e.g., healthcare, finance, legal).

* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (IT, Operations, Legal, and other departments) to understand document handling needs and develop custom scanning solutions.

* Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to teams involved in the scanning process, ensuring they understand best practices, technologies, and compliance issues.

* Reporting & Metrics: Develop KPIs and regularly report on the progress and success of scanning initiatives, addressing any challenges or roadblocks in a timely manner.

* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Project Manager - High Speed Scanning and Digital Transformation Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

* 7+ years of experience in large-scale document scanning projects, digital document management, or related technical fields.

* Strong understanding of scanning hardware, OCR technologies, and document management software.

* Proven experience in leading and executing large-scale digital transformation projects.

* Familiarity with compliance and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) as they pertain to digital document storage.

* Experience with cloud-based solutions for document management and storage.

* Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

* Preferred Qualifications:

* Certifications in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) preferred.

* Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, legal) preferred.

* Familiarity with automation technologies for workflow optimization preferred.

* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendors effectively.

* Deep knowledge of scanning technologies, OCR, and document management solutions.

* Proven ability to oversee large-scale projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and to adjust strategies as needed.
