We are currently looking for an Affordable Housing Project Developer I to lead the finance, development, and acquisition of affordable, multi-family housing in Los Angeles and the surrounding region. The successful Project Developer will be connected with the affordable housing community in the Los Angeles area and will be the lead resource for other team members.

Pay: $105,000-122,000/Salary DOE

Duties:
* Review sites or projects for potential development of new construction, complexes for potential acquisition, or potential re-syndication opportunities.
* Lead others in the application process and fully navigate through Mercy's approval process. Engages and solves issues directly with internal/external parties.
* Prepare feasibility or project analysis responding to project criteria. Includes identification of needs, project risks, property rehabilitation needs, population served, financial feasibility, and community plan as needed.
* Execute job tasks (duties) with final review by Project Developer II or higher.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Planning, or related field.
* Two (2) years of experience in low-income housing development work.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Planning, or related field.
* Certification in Real Estate Development.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Superior written and verbal communication and relationship management skills.
* Highly effective problem-solving and flexibility while remaining focused on solutions.
* Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
