The Project Manager Chemical plants is responsible to Manage Chemical Plants projects in Plant Engineering within a matrix organisation to completion, on time, within budget and to specification.
• Manage Plant Engineering Chemical Plant projects and in accordance with Project Management procedures. • Risk management; identifying risks and issues, developing and implement risk abatement plans. • Planning; develop project scope, cost and schedule to meet objectives and key requirements. • Perform financial analysis, including preparation of project budgets. • Execute projects to complete on time, within budget and to specification. • Continuous monitoring of project progress and reporting thereof using designated planning- and reporting instruments. • Control cost- and schedule variance by timeously implementing corrective actions. • Keep project stakeholders informed on project progress by timeous communication. • Ensure effective project communication with line manager. • Ensuring deliverables and project scope remains consistent with Statement of Requirements and business objectives for the project. • Ensuring adherence to all relevant policies, procedures and other company standards. • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the Project Management function.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- BEng Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Project Management qualification or higher.
- At least 3 - 5 years' experience in daily Project Management projects ,
- MS Projects or similar project schedule package
- Experience in project management tools will be an added
- Experience in explosives will be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management
- Excellent communication, planning and organizing
- Highly organized, self-motivated and attention to
- Willing to Travel abroad for up to 3 mounts at a time
