Job Description:
Title: Project Manager Duration: Long Term Contract Location: New York, NY Requirements and Experience 1) Worked as a project manager on at least three (3) Drupal Migration projects 2) Bachelor's degree Responsibilities 1) Facilitate communication between vendor who will perform website migration (Migration Vendor) and CUNY SPS Marketing a) This role will be the point of contact for the Migration Vendor. It will be crucial to maintain an open line of communication with the vendor for any information that they need pertaining to the website migration or other related work. 2) Work with the Migration Vendor and CUNY SPS Marketing to communicate and monitor migration milestones a) Monitoring the migration milestones will be crucial to communicating the project status to the CUNY SPS team and leadership. If the Migration Vendor is falling behind on a specific area of the project, this should be communicated as early as possible so internal team can support when possible. 3) Work with CUNY SPS Marketing to communicate project priorities to the Migration Vendor a) Content: Taxonomy; Linked PDFs b) Modules - Understand which modules will need to be migrated, - Which modules are core in D10, - Which modules are no longer needed, and - Which modules will need to be substituted c) Functionality d) Plugins e) SEO f) Third-Party Integrations 4) Organize and attend regular status meetings with Migration Vendor (weekly or bi-weekly) a) Meetings should cover current project status: - completed items that need to be reviewed/signed off on by the CUNY SPS team - items in-progress - blockers - any items that cannot move forward until a dependency is met. - backlog - ensure that the to-do list is up to date so that once items have been completed, the migration vendor can move on to upcoming work. 5) Document key takeaways from Migration Vendor meetings and report back to the CUNY SPS marketing team 6) For all CUNY SPS dependencies (i.e. when the team is needed to provide a deliverable to move the migration project forward or for QA support) document these requirements and make sure that this information is communicated to Marketing leadership and the team member/s needed. Allow for as much advance notice as possible. 7) Ensure that CUNY SPS Marketing team has access to all testing and development environments used by Migration Vendor 8) Ensure that CUNY SPS Marketing team has access to all documentation and project planning materials provided by the Migration Vendor This project is expected to have the following phases: 1) Planning; 2) Implementation; 3) Content Migration; 4) Testing / Quality Assurance
