Job Posting: Project Manager (4-6 month contract)

Location: Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

Pay: $36-$42 hourly

Hours: M-F 8-5 (On-Site)

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team at the Brooklyn Headquarters. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic initiatives of the organization, working closely with various departments to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of key projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role is essential in advancing our mission to provide comprehensive treatment and recovery services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Planning and Execution

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as a liaison between project teams and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization across departments.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation within the organization.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues to minimize impact on project timelines and objectives.

Resource Management

  • Collaborate with department heads to efficiently allocate resources.
  • Ensure project teams have the necessary tools and support to achieve goals.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting project status, achievements, and challenges.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
  • Project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare sector or substance use treatment is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in guiding and motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software for planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address project challenges.
  • Experience in resource allocation and optimization to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Proven experience in identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Understanding of quality management principles to ensure deliverables meet standards.
  • Collaborative skills to foster teamwork and open communication among stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective negotiation skills for managing project constraints and securing necessary resources.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining integrity in project management practices.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexibility to work outside traditional hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) upon request.
