Job Description:

We take immense pride in supporting our nation's defense by maintaining and repairing the vessels that safeguard our country. We are currently seeking dedicated and skilled Project Managers for ship repair projects. The role requires the ability to obtain access to all area shipyards, including BAE, NASSCO, MHI, NOB, NNSY, HII-NPN, and Little Creek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple ship repair projects simultaneously, supervising up to 50 employees.
  • Manage material procurement and ensure the timely assignment of daily job tasks.
  • Train and mentor employees, ensuring daily production plans are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Oversee hot work operations and conduct visual inspections, ensuring compliance with Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) standards.
  • Serve as the Work Authorization Form (WAF) coordinator, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Utilize expertise in mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and drawing sketches for installations (e.g., foundations and deck plates).
  • Plan and prioritize production operations, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet project timelines and specifications.
  • Ensure conformity to specifications in the fabrication and installation of metal structural parts, including bulkheads, plates, and frames.
  • Supervise the repair and maintenance of ship structural parts, coordinating closely with team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Review production and operational reports, identifying and resolving issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience in a project management position, preferably within the ship repair or defense industry.
  • Strong understanding of ship production processes, methods, and equipment capabilities.
  • Experience coordinating manufacturing activities and resolving production issues.
