Job Title: Project Manager, Energy and Environment Solutions HORIBA Instruments is dedicated to providing innovative analytical solutions that contribute to environmental protection and energy efficiency. Our Energy and Environment (E&E) solutions address critical needs in automotive testing, environmental monitoring, alternative energy management (battery and hydrogen), and sustainable development. The Project Manager plays a key role in the growth and success of our E&E solutions by managing the completion of major projects involving engine and vehicle emissions equipment, from inception through customer acceptance, including profit and loss (P/L), scheduling, scope of work and functional specification development. The Product Manager collaborates closely with customers, contractors, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure our products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Main point of contact from HORIBA to customer. Responsible from order entry to customer acceptance.
  • Manages project scope, budget, and timing according to customer commitment.
  • Monitors key milestones and budget throughout duration of the project.
  • Assesses project risk to performance, pro-actively works to address, escalates issues requiring management attention.
  • Ensures effective and timely communication of project status, issues, etc. to appropriate departments.
  • Schedules internal resources for on-site work.
  • Responsible for qualifying & supervising trades and/or contractors at customer site.
  • Ensures proper acceptance documentation for customer per project.
  • Responsible to ensure final sign off and acceptance.
  • Generates closing reports. Conducts closing meeting to review project in its entirety and discuss best practices moving forward.
Qualifications:
  • Requires working knowledge of project management methodologies and budgeting as typically acquired through a bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or a minimum of ten years industry experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate and resolve problems/issues with customers, contractors and other internal departments.
  • Ability to ensure accurate project budgets.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects from inception to customer acceptance, including scheduling, material specification, costing, customer interface and support.
  • Ability to provide timely and accurate information to Marketing and Sales to ensure development of appropriate quotations.
