- Manage construction projects through planning and coordination with district staff, architects, engineers, and contractors. Responsible for the daily management of construction activities to include budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and architectural and engineering activities to support the design and construction process.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities planning, architecture, engineering, construction management or related field
- TASBO certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Experience:
- Five (5) years in-depth program/project construction management experience
- Three (3) years direct experience facilitating and coordinating all design and construction phases of multiple K-12 construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction or a related field can be considered in lieu of experience
- Experience with CAD programs and MS Project is preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT
- Works cooperatively with various constituents in the development and implementation of project design and scope to budget recommendations
- Coordinates and communicates with project administrators and campus administrators on a regular basis
- SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE
- Work safely in a construction environment and be able to tour construction sites in order to monitor progress and adherence to project specifications
- Provides principals and administrators with appropriate information regarding construction projects and schedules
- Requests input from principals and administrators regarding facility needs and planned construction projects
- Models behavior that promotes a positive organizational and school climate
- Assists in articulating and interpreting the mission, vision, goals, and strategic plan for the district
- SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT

- ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
- Assist in maintaining facility assessment and capital planning software
- Coordinates design professionals in the development of schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Coordinates scheduling of assigned construction projects
- Coordinates and oversees assigned capital improvement construction projects
- Performs construction site visits on a regular basis
- Attends regular construction progress meetings to represent the District's interests
- Reviews construction pay applications with project architect/engineer, contractor/construction manager and administration to determine appropriate payment due to construction professionals
- Works with design professionals and contractors to resolve concerns, deficiencies and scheduling problems encountered in construction projects
- Prepares ongoing reports regarding design and construction projects in the narrative, spreadsheet and/or presentation formats
- Assists in the preparation of progress reports on design and construction projects for Board of Trustees, as required
- Participates in planning and design of construction and renovation projects to ensure efficiency is evaluated
- Successfully plans and coordinates efficient facilities construction projects to meet the needs of the school district

- Assist in communicating information regarding district facilities, long-range capital plans, and construction projects to district personnel
