Job Type Full-time Description General Kinematics is the premier manufacturer of vibrating equipment for the processing of bulk materials. From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials. This position will be assigned to manage a variety of customer orders through the entire scope of service as sold. Within these responsibilities will be managing the project timeline, defining, and writing change orders, supplier management and travel to on-site installations.
- Serve as the point of contact on designated projects from receipt of PO through customer sign-off.
- Ensure the timeline on customer orders is met.
- Develop change orders as necessary. This will include costing and timeline adjustments.
- Request and secure current pricing for outside bids to be used within active customer orders and within the quoting process.
- Assist with development of a roster of suppliers and contractors for GK Systems.
- When a project is live, serve as point of contact & coordinator for all outside suppliers and contractors
- Travel to job sites to represent GK during system install & start-up.
- When applicable, attend the Project with Issues meeting to serve as the customer's liaison and work with internal stake holders to determine root cause designation and lessons learned for the company.
- Respond to inquiries about current contract sales projects within the Company.
- Track project performance, specifically analyzing short-and long-term goals.
- Maintain weekly communication with internal departments with updates to ensure proper adherence to established timelines and objectives.
- Assist in developing best practices goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Track budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE program.
- Utilize analytical skills and experience to make independent decisions.
- Foster cooperation and collaboration among team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of capital equipment projects experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (WORD, EXCEL, etc.) required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Certified PMP (Project Management Professional) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD (Autodesk products) is preferred.
- Vibratory equipment and Foundry/Mining/Recycling industries' knowledge a plus.
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
