Description: play the lead role in civil/transportation engineering project design and coordination. Collaborate with other groups and disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to clients. Attend in client meetings presenting concepts and task summaries. Prepare preliminary design layouts and final design plans and specification on large and complex transportation projects. Use design software such as MicroStation, AutoCad and OpenRoads. Compile, write, and edit documents for design-build projects. Assist with proposals, project budgets and schedules as well as have public involvement with the State, Counties, and Cities. Oversee the work of other PEs, EITs and Technicians. Lead multiple work teams, manage multiple complex projects, identify new projects, formulate an approach to projects, lead the proposal process, formulate, track and meet project budgets and schedules, and market to and secure work from new and existing clients.
Position is based out of WSB's offices in Round Rock, TX, but allows for the option to work from a home office in the Round Rock, TX metropolitan area. In office work with flexibility to work from home in a hybrid schedule up to 2 days per week.
Requirements: At least a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in civil engineering, or related engineering field, and TWO years of experience as a civil engineer or related role; or Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in civil engineering or related engineering field, plus at least 5 years of progressive post baccalaureate experience as a civil engineer, or related role.
In addition, the position requires at least 2 years of experience in:
* Design software such as MicroStation
* AutoCAD modeling, including MicroStation OpenRoads
* Referencing design standards to incorporate into project development
* Coordinating project tasks between graduate level engineers
* Managing communications with clients on project status, invoicing, and monthly summaries of work
Possession or ability to obtain TX driver's license; possession or ability to obtain Professional Engineer license in the State of Texas in 6 months. #LI-DNI
