23rd September, 2024Our client in Buffalo, NY is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team.This is a hybrid/ full-time/direct-hire positionSalary based on experience: $65k-$90kPrimary Functions & Responsibilities: Client Management
  • Practice principled and clear communication both internally and externally
  • Respond to all client emails or phone calls within one business day
  • Identify and escalate client or operational issues or problems promptly
  • Proactively anticipate the client's next question and address before they ask, when possible
  • Produce work that is of client-facing quality or is circulated internally with clear questions while in draft format
  • Strive to build a relationship with the client as a partner rather than a vendor
  • Efficiently and accurately disseminate routine reports to clients on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Act with principle and embody company values as the face to our clients
  • Uphold confidentiality and handle confidential material and information professionally
  • Send data to and receive data from external parties in a secure manner
Project Management
  • Coordinate timely and accurate execution of key activities and tasks as outlined in the proposal, orders, project documents, and/or client requests
  • Take ownership of work produced, aFs well as other special projects or process improvement/strategic initiatives as assigned
  • Respond promptly to colleagues to keep project deliverables on schedule
  • Punctually update and complete required reporting and information entry across various platforms
  • Be respectful of your own and others' time
  • Propose solutions when identifying any problems
  • Appropriately communicate clients' needs internally
  • Display a professional level of attention to detail and produce error-free work that requires little to no revisions or oversight or escalates areas for feedback and assistance
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate high-volume case data within Excel
  • Be dependable and agile
People Management
  • Communicate with empathy
  • Coordinate with other operational groups and effectively delegate tasks to the appropriate team member while retaining responsibility for the successful completion of the task
  • Communicate and prioritize to remove any roadblocks to task completion
  • Provide context and transparency while remaining professional and respectful
  • Request assistance with both detail and humility
  • Create timely and accurate task requests and instructions for completing tasks
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports, prioritizing a coaching approach
  • Own your behaviors as a leader
  • Approach conflict resolution with respect and curiosity
  • Manage with trust and respect
  • Clearly articulate expectations and hold direct reports accountable to those expectations
  • Provide regular constructive feedback
  • Complete all reviews and other managerial feedback as required
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years experience in mass tort settlements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (i.e., Pivot Tables, V/XLOOKUP, Macros, Data Validation tool suite, Mail Merge, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, wear multiple hats, maintain flexibility to pivot as needed throughout the day, and thrive in pressure situations
  • Maintain a high degree of attention to detail and professionalism in working with various clients, time-sensitive materials, and confidential matters
  • Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on managing time, documents, projects, and relationships with law firm clients and vendor collaborators
  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently under minimal supervision, but also take direction/guidance well and function efficiently as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and juggle multiple tasks/projects/deadlines simultaneously
