As Project Manager for a Product Development project, you will manage both new product introduction and product improvement projects. You will use your expertise to lead the project team to ensure the project delivers the expected outputs, outcomes, and benefits. You will be part of a highly talented and driven cross-functional global team. As a part of the Texas team, you will work with product teams, production teams, and support teams throughout the world. This is a dynamic and highly engaging role. The product development team has 14 people at this facility, and while they do not report to you, for this role they need a strong leader and Project Manager who can lead by influence not only this team but global teams working on other projects. This group makes manikins for the emergency medicine and critical care for resuscitation training. They need someone who is creative, enthusiastic, and thrives in a fast-pace and fun environment, a people person, and are more interested in someone's soft skills like personality, communication skills, someone hungry and excited to learn and be in a new field and grow their career. These are product development projects, and any hardware/software experience would be beneficial but they will teach you the technical side if they feel you are a good fit. You will need to show you are a strong communicator who can connect cross-functional teams, executive teams, and project stakeholders, translating the technical site to them. This is a hands-on role meaning that if there is a problem you will be out on the floor with team to support and correct the core problem.Ideal candidate:You will need to show you can establish a project's objectives with the project executive and relevant stakeholders, focusing on timely delivery of value and use standard project management concepts and techniques in conjunction with the Agile development approach for the project.- Create/maintain project and delivery plans; make progress transparent.- Foster an educated decision-making process, manage expectations, and ensure the project team and stakeholders are aligned.- Assemble the right people, processes, and technologies to help your team be more efficient and productive. - Outgoing, friendly, approachable; a true team player!- Good interpersonal skills that allow you to develop strong ties with stakeholders across the business.- Extremely organized: Detail-oriented but can see the larger picture.- Knowledge of and ability to use and develop state-of-the-art project management methodologies and technologies.International travel opportunity:Most travel will be to Mexico, probably for a week, once a quarter, depending on the project. The company is based out of Norway and once about every six months you may also travel there for meetings.Telework opportunity:This position is based out of Gatesville, TX but once up to speed you will have the opportunity to work from home two days a week and be in the office the other three days.Base DOE + 9% bonus.
