The Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site. The Project Manager will lead the project team in the construction of the entire Project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project.
Duties / Responsibilities: - Assist in developing project chart of accounts and bidding projects.
- Provide leadership, guidance and assistance with project and client development demands, Review materials and systems for constructability.
- Maintain thorough understanding of Agate / Owner contracts and maintain detailed Contract Status Reports
- Train and monitor progress of all project and field engineers
- Review and manage all Project Controls
- Review and manage all Project Financials; monitor budget and schedules of projects to minimize fee erosion and scope creep; escalate concerns to Agate leadership team.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, trade partners and owners to represent Agate core values.
- Ability to effectively manage 3 - 4 projects at one time depending on size and complexity.
Required Skills/Abilities: - Bachelor Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred or recent experience.
- Minimum 7 years of relative Project Manager experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of construction principles and practices required.
- Experience dealing with subcontracts and trade partners required.
- Superior communication and organization skills, with solid commercial GC business acumen.
- Collaborative nature and desire to mentor and grow the next level to secure business continuity.
- Excellent computer skills with excel knowledge required. (Microsoft Office Products).
- Project Manager Software (Trimble Viewpoint) preferred and recommended but not required.
