Purpose
- Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
- Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
- Establishes work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of projects, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Focuses on developing business-critical projects aimed at improving company performance.

- Portfolio Manager who has been with the client 9+ years.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Championing 1-2 major manufacturing projects at a time, focusing on change management and ensuring cross-functional teams remain on task.
- Coordinating meeting updates, tracking budgets, and managing drawing packages.
- Overseeing the procurement of equipment and managing installations.
- Facilitating general capital project work to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Turn strategic priorities into meaningful and actionable project launches.
- Facilitation of large and business-critical projects together with stakeholders and project teams.
- Confers with project personnel to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- May manage sub-contractors and their workforce.
- Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgets.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Prepares project reports for management and others.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Facilitates the use of standard processes, templates, and other project management tools.
- Engages with global portfolio and project organizations to share best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required. Engineering degree is a plus.
- Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
- 7+ years of project management experience is require - manufacturing experience is not required.
- Must be an inspiring project leader with a focus on critical and value-adding tasks.
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, structured, and outcome-focused.
- Must use a hypothesis-focused approach to problem-solving and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong stakeholder management skills.
- Must possess strong change management skills.
- Must possess workshop facilitation skills and be comfortable engaging people.
- A working knowledge of ERP is beneficial. SAP is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, is required.
- International travel is required, sometimes for extended periods (weeks).
- Staff meeting day is an in-office day
