Job Description:
Our client seeks a military veteran to run the day-to-day operations of a maintenance company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and be comfortable leading a construction repair or installation crew. A degree is required, and benefits are available. In this role, you will manage groups of production employees within a critical facility that produces next-generation people-moving systems. You will manage the planning, staffing, and day-to-day work associated with the department. You will have oversight for the production orders and schedules and drive quality, efficiency, and safety. This role will be challenging. The site is growing and looking for the right energy and leadership style to help stabilize the site and drive the correct culture transformation. This sounds simple, as leaders in the military are used to leading in austere conditions. However, cultural change is not as simple as it sounds. You will be working with your production teams; usually, 20 - 40 people, assigned daily production goals in certain plant areas.Currently, this is in the electrical assembly areas, so people with some understanding of electrical systems could have an advantage in this role, yet this is not a requirement. The position is a critical role working days or nights as the operation dictates. Although you will be assigned a shift to work, you must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends, as the site catches up on production shortages. The goal is that this flexibility is not required long term, but will be needed currently. If you have any hesitancy working days/nights/or weekends as required, please do not apply to the role. Start immediately in NYC.Salary DOE – Medical, dental – 401k contribution (2-3% of annual salary) - 6 paid sick days - 11 paid holidays - 2 weeks paid vacation - Life insurance (75k death benefit.)
